Party Agents Violate Election Law
AMARAPURA, Mandalay—Nyi Nyi Kaw, who represents independent candidate Dr Than Myint, said two Union Solidarity Development Party (USDP) agents were taking part in the voting process in breach of the election law at 6:45 a.m. at polling station No. 9 for Hman Tann Ward in Amarapura Township. The party agents, Min Min and San Win, represent Moe Naing Kyaw, the USDP candidate for Constituency 1 of Amarapura Township in the Mandalay Division Parliament. When Nyi Nyi Kaw officially complained to the polling officer, the officer said: “Do I have the right to stop them?” Nyi Nyi Kyaw said the officer appeared to be afraid of the USDP candidate's polling station agents.
